The Palm, Jumeirah
The Palm, Jumeirah is one the most adventurous property projects to date. The development will be a city itself with extensive residential areas and numerous commercial opportunities including international five star hotels and commercial retail opportunities. Al Nakheel Properties have designed the island in the shape of palm tree, consisting of 17 fronds surrounded by a crescent of protective barrier reef. The island will extend approximately six kilometers offshore and be eight kilometres in diameter. Each will also have two international marinas, providing individual berths for yachts. The Palm Jumeirah will provide approximately 5,000 housing units, including private, substantial estates, individual homes, detached and semi-detached, town houses and apartments.
The Palm Jebel Ali

Palm Island, Jebel Ali is more directed toward holiday/weekend homes and the more informal style of living. A similar concept to The Palm Jumeirah, however marketed more as a destination than a residence, it will include Marine Park, monorail, extensive shopping, and a number of recreational activities. It has a similar demographic to Jumeirah Palm, however more holiday homes and retirees. The Palm, Jebel Ali is currently under construction and is forecasted to be completed in 2008. With over 6,400 residential housing units the island will be its own city. The Palm Jebel Ali is a tourist destination that combines excitement with entertainment in every sense. Featuring a vibrant blend of residential communities, leisure, cultural and entertainment outlets, the Palm Jebel Ali offers visitors and residents a unique unmatched and unforgettable experience. Surrounded by vast blue expanses of water, this palm shaped island is a combination of mystical Arabian charm and contemporary luxuries.
Jumeirah Lake Towers
This is a series of attractive residences, offices and retail outlets set in the midst of man-made lakes, waterways and beautifully manicured landscaping. Comprising of clusters of three towers, every tower is unique not just in the number of storeys, but in concept, design and feel representing the epitome of ultra-modern property development. This ultra modern property development is located just off Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai.
Comprising 45 uniquely designed towers it will create a contemporary community within itself. Encompassing residential, office and retail outlets, the towers will be clustered together in groups of three and set amidst crystal clear lakes and flowing waterways.
Overall the project will epitomize modern architecture and provide the very best of waterside environments for residents, office workers and leisure seekers alike. An impressive 55-storey tower will form the centrepiece of the community and house further offices, a hotel and a gold and diamond centre. Additionally, there will be retail and restaurant outlets and extensively manicured gardens all located within the secure and peaceful environment.
In total, the project located between Interchanges 5 and 6 will cover 730,000 square metres, with the man-made lakes covering an extensive 116,000 square metres in themselves. Retail space will cover 75,000 square metres and the residential and office space a combined 1,927,530 square metres.
Jumeirah Islands

Jumeirah Islands comprises 736 villas, 184 apartments and 30 townhouses on 50 manmade islands. These are luxury waterfront homes with an emphasis on lifestyle and are marketed at wealthy families and couples. The Jumeirah Islands project is designed on 300 hectares of land, located just off Sheikh Zayed Road between Interchange 5 and 6. The residential units are clustered amongst the spacious private swimming pools.
The community also includes a commercial area, ‘Jumeirah Islands Village’ for shopping convenience and leisure. The overall project will have parks, canoeing, peddle boating, trails, walkway bridges and a community club for enjoyment and recreation. Two clusters close to the commercial area will entail four deluxe apartment buildings, totaling 184 units. Two fronds will host unique, stylish townhouses.
Dubai Marina
The development will have 100 towers along a four kilometre man made marina incorporating 11km of boardwalk. The emphasis is again on lifestyle with parks, restaurants and bars throughout the development. It is aimed at high income earning couples and small families and it is expected to complete over next two to three years.
The first phase of the Dubai Marina project (Marina 1), comprising six towers housing 1100 residential units, was completely sold out soon after it opened for sale in 2002. Dubai Marina is the world’s largest master planned waterfront development of its kind. Built as the region’s first ‘intelligent city’, it will eventually house 35,000 people. Dubai Marina has been designed to offer its residents all the resources of a well-planned residential district and world-class resort. Its range of amenities includes:
- A shopping arcade for 60 retail outlets/boutiques, boardwalks to the marina, public amenities and recreational facilities.
- 42% of the land mass will be taken up with the towers, two of which will be 37 stories high, with the other four ranging between16 and 28.
- Every home will have views of the Gulf, computerised air-conditioning, kitchen devices and electrical appliances.
- Community services, such as internet, doctor and educational learning village and state-of-the-art security system will ensure comfort.
- Underground parking for over 2,000 cars, closed circuit security, internet facilities and alarm systems will also be provided.
Properties are for sale to members of the public of all nationalities on a freehold basis.
Emirates Hills
Marketed as the ‘Beverly Hills’ of Dubai with prices to match. There will be l
uxury homes on large plots aimed at wealthy local and expatriate families. Emirates Hills is an exclusive master planned development where individuals can buy land to build a home of their dreams on a site that features the Montgomerie Golf Course.
Emirates Hills is Dubai Internet City, The American University of Dubai and the Emirates Golf Club. The first part of this unique 25 sq km master planned community is The Colin Montgomerie Neighbourhood, a 4 sq. km luxury residential golf course estate which boasts a world-class Montgomerie course, created by master architect Desmond Muirhead in association with Colin Montgomerie.

City of Arabia comprises of four key feature developments: the largest mall development in the Middle East (Mall of Arabia); the Restless Planet (built around the rise and fall of the dinosaurs); Wadi Walk (an exclusive urban community) and Elite Towers (34 high rise residential towers).
Burj Dubai
This development combines residential, commercial, hotel, entertainment and leisure outlet. With open green spaces, water features, pedestrian boulevards, an old town and one of the world’s largest shopping malls, this project will create a new architectural landmark. Located on Sheikh Zayed Road, it was started in 2003 and is expected to complete at the end of 2008. It is being constructed as a high-rise building by EMAAR. Its final height has not yet been revealed, but it is claimed that it will be the world’s tallest building. The project will create a city within a city providing residential and office accommodation, shopping, leisure, dining and other facilities all in the one building.
